of the waterways – the River Nore
The River
Nore branches from the Barrow, 2 miles north of New Ross and winds its way
through wooded horse shoes, inland fishing villages, passing old mines, castles,
cascading waterfalls, gardens and islands to the gem that is Inistioge village.
The Nore
flows from the Devilsbit
Mountain northeast and then south through: Clonakenny, Kilbricken, Kilkenny,
Bennettsbridge, Thomastown, Inistioge, New Ross, Cheekpoint until the sea.
