The Kilkenny Jerpoint is a Cistercian
abbey founded in the second half of the 12th century. The church
demonstrates Romanesque detail and the transept chapels exhibit 13th-16th
century tomb sculpture. There is also a 15th century tower and a cloister,
the latter showing unique carvings. An exhibition can be viewed in the
